Sorry I’m so late on this. I just got back from TLC “Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta” screening party at the old Macy’s space in downtown Atlanta, followed by a party for Princess Banton’s Lofter’s new production company Loft 22, where I interviewed Lisa Wu Hartwell of “Real Housewives of Atlanta.” It’s a rare night where I wasn’t plopped in front of the TV. I heard about Ellen DeGeneres leaving three hours ago from my boss, but I didn’t bring my laptop with me so I’m only posting now.
Ellen DeGeneres has decided to leave “American Idol” after one season, Fox said in a press release sent to me at 7:59 p.m. tonight.
She served as a judge for only one season. With no musical background and comedic chops, she was able to throw out the occasional quip but offered very little interesting or useful for the contestants.
