And, it turns out the is-it-or-isn’t-it track ending up being a big isn’t. Now URB has sniffed out another impostor, this time behind the purported moody DP Tron leak “The Crash.”

Says URB:

“The legitimacy of both songs, ‘The Crash’ and ‘Fragile,’ was denied by the Daft Punk camp, but not before ‘The Crash’ even made it on to Kanye’s blog. That still leaves the question, who did make these tracks that fooled even Yeezy? The answer to at least one is Calamity Jane recording artist Pilotpriest.”

Conveniently, the co-owner of Calamity Jane Recordings just happens to be a onetime contributor to URB. Here’s Pilotpriest’s “Body Double”—all ten minutes of it:

That’s quite a dark, drawn-out dirgey opening. And quite frankly, we’re hoping Daft Punk’s actual score blows all these impersonators’ circuit boards!

Meanwhile, Tron isn’t the only project causing speculation about LED enthusiasts Daft Punk. A tweet from Joel Madden has us thinking we might be hearing the pair in some capacity on Quincy Jones and Lionel Richie’s “We Are The World” update.

Or maybe they’ll just be doing the robot dance in the music video.
