Hollie Cavanagh , the powerful singer from McKinney, TX fought all the way to the Top 4 before being eliminated last week. The morning after her elimination Hollie chatted with press about leaving the show, the friendships she made, and her future album! When asked if Hollie thought she would be eliminated she said, ” There was definitely something different about that day. I’m not sure what it was, but I guess it was just my gut just telling me.

Following tonight’s episode of American Idol, a compilation album of the songs performed by the Season 11 Top 4 finalists will go on sale on the iTunes Store. Individual songs will also be available for sale. The tracks released on iTunes are studio versions recorded by the finalists under the guidance of “Idol” musical director Ray Chew .
I’m still upset about Skylar Laine. My colleague, John Kubicek, covered American Idol last week, so that I could cry privately and curl up next to a bottle of wine after the results show. Eventually the wine and tears tasted the SAME. This is my shocking result/devastation for the season.
