Kid Cudi , Wiz Khalifa and Missy Elliott & Timbaland (in a joint special appearance) are some of the big names slated to perform at annual hip-hop fest Rock The Bells 2012. Also on the lineup are J. Cole , Nas , Kendrick Lamar , Lupe Fiasco , A$AP Rocky and Mac Miller , with hosting duties by RZA and Supernatural . Bur for those whose hearts will forever be in the 90s, the bill also boasts performances by Ice Cube (more known for his acting than his rapping nowadays), Salt-N-Pepa and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony , who will be celebrating their 20th anniversary reunion. Time to dry-clean those old flannel sweatshirts! Rock The Bells 2012 will take place in three separate locations this summer: August 18 and 19 at the Nos Events Center in San Bernadino, CA; August 25 and 26 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA; and September 1 and 2 at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ. Many of the artists will only be playing select markets.

What could be better than seeing One Direction and Usher live in concert? How about seeing them totally free ? The boy band and R&B star are just two of the announced acts set to perform during the UK’s iTunes Festival, a month-long concert series promising “30 nights of free music”. Lady Gaga ‘s June 3 Born This Way Ball concert at Jarkarta’s 52,000-seat Gelora Bung Karno venue was sold out, but the show will apparently not go on. National police spokesman Boy Rafli Amar said today that the permit for the Indonesian gig had been denied, following pressure from conservative Islamic groups and lawmakers. The concert would have been the largest one staged on Gaga’s current Asian tour. According to the Associated Press , Islamic “hard-liners” and lawmakers have raised concern that Lady Gaga’s “sexy clothes and dance moves will corrupt the youth.” We’re guessing Terry Richardson’s photographs of Mother Monster won’t be lining the walls of these folks’ homes, then.

During the festivities at KIIS-FM’s Wango Tango event in Los Angeles on Saturday, guest host Justin Bieber found three minutes or so to sit down with the radio station’s DJ JoJo. There was some way-too-long banter between the two of them about the Biebs’ on-stage intro and the fact that he almost fell or something, and then the 18-year-old “Boyfriend” crooner chatted briefly about his upcoming album Believe (“I think that my album in general, I worked really hard on it.”) and fellow Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen (“She’s super-talented and she has a great voice and she is relatable, so I think she’s going to be fine.”), who also performed at Wango Tango. We’ve just recovered from covering two weekends in a row of 2012′s Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival, and the 2013 dates have already been released. The festival will once again make use of two back-to-back weekends, taking place April 12-14 and April 19-21 in Indio, California. For those who missed out on tickets last year (and there were many of you, as Coachella’s first weekend sold out almost immediately), advance passes will go on sale beginning Thursday, May 17th at 10:00 a.m. PST and ending Thursday, May 24.
