Thanks, Aaron and Tony for the photo! UPDATE : Check out this giant M&M http://tweetphoto.com/25215910 . OMG SO CHEESY! Lulz. 2nd Update: Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox opened the show with “Falling Slowly”. First trip to New York for both.

Check out photos from Wednesday’s (June 2) M&M Pretzel Launch press conference and performance featuring the Top 10 Idols Unfortunately, the performance was cut short at 3 songs, due to safety reasons, according to a tweet from Katie Stevens . Andrew Garcia tweeted to a fan, that all the Idols were supposed to perform, but the M&M peeps stopped the show. Unruly crowd?

He stood out from the get-go, what with those ginormous guns, the tear-jerking delivery room back story and, oh yeah, that sultry, smooth voice, which Ellen DeGeneres compared to Luther Vandross no more than two weeks ago! But alas, it's down to the “Idol” wire and someone has to go. So what will Michael Lynche miss about his extended stay in Los Angeles once he returns home to Astoria in Queens, N.Y.? Besides sun, sun and more sun, he's certain to have long-lasting memories of afternoons spent at the Grove's Apple store, and In-N-Out's classic double-double animal-style.

As fun as it was to have dinner with Siobhan Magnus and the “If I Can Dream” crew (including her Top 24 bud Alex Lambert), the experience was also bittersweet because it felt like a goodbye. Sure, she had been eliminated on “American Idol” two days prior, but knowing a hang was scheduled for Friday night, it was easy to put off the inevitable. But there was no avoiding it once this dinner and Twitter Q&A session were over.

It was a strange Wednesday night in the Idol-dome. With the painful images of people in need, the awkwardly out-of-place stand-up-comedy bits, a looming elimination and President Obama going Randy Jackson on us, making heads or tails of it all was a challenge, to say the least. Plus, some 2 1/2 hours in, we saw no end in sight, and our lumbar region was starting to feel it. To repeat a phrase one of our colleagues so brilliantly coined earlier in the evening, “Idol” gives back pain — especially when you're confined to a 12-inch-wide piece of foam covered by the thinnest sliver of faux-leather vinyl for more than three hours

Andrew Garcia and Katie Stevens dropped by to chat with Wendy Williams on her talk show this morning. Both of the Idol bootees agree that it’s been a lot less lonely being eliminated together rather than apart–neither seem to mind having to share the spotlight as they make their rounds of the talk shows. It’s a good thing they’ve been friends since they performed in group rounds together in Hollywood. After the jump, part one features a short interview with Andrew and Katie, followed by Katie singing “Big Girls Don’t Cry”. In part two, Andrew sings the legendary “Straight Up” and if I’m being perfectly honest, it makes me wonder what all the fuss was about

Katie Stevens and Andrew Garcia are doing the loser rounds (we mean that in the nicest way possible!) on TV following their ousting from American Idol last week. Last night they hit up The Late Show With David Letterman , where Dave proceeded to ask Katie a series of random questions like, “What do you get—do you get a prize? Do you get some coupons?” Katie’s flat reply: “We get this.” Catch Season 9’s eighth- and ninth-placing contestants performing about a minute of Chris Brown and Keri Hilson’s “Superhuman” on Letterman after the jump.
