Band leader, Paul Shaffer , introduces a new Monday night segment, on the Late Show With David Letterman , featuring the latest American Idol contestant to be “kicked off” the show… Lacey Brown , as the contestant who came in at #12, is the very first guest. And according to Shaffer, the best part of coming in 12? Lacey doesn’t have to go on the tour! Letterman calls Simon Cowell insane, and asks Lacey if getting kicked off means her show business career is over.

For “American Idol” contestants past and present, “going to Hollywood” means moving to Los Angeles for at least a few weeks and familiarizing themselves with the sights, smells and congested streets of our fair city. Of course, what's culture shock to some is enthralling to others, and in an attempt to tap into some of that emotional newness, we've come up with a handy exit questionnaire for each eliminated contestant to fill out.
