Nick Carter is no doubt still reeling from the news that his sister Leslie has died in an apparent drug overdose, but he hasn’t let that stop him from sharing his music with fans: “Performing is cathartic to me and I am dedicating the rest of my tour to my sister since she loved to watch me perform,” he said in a statement. Nick carried on with that sentiment Wednesday night at Irving Plaza in New York City, where he said: “I’ve never done this before, and I never thought I’d ever have to, but I’d like to dedicate this song to my sister,” before launching into “Falling Down” from his solo album I’m Taking Off . Watch the “Beautiful Lie” singer tribute Leslie below. Nick Carter — “Falling Down” (tribute to Leslie Carter) Were you touched by the performance?

When you sign up to perform at the Super Bowl , you also sign up to be asked dozens of asinine questions by journalists. Madonna attended an NFL press conference earlier today, where she was asked hard-hitting questions, like, “What do you think of Indianapolis?” and “What’s the craziest thing you’ve seen in Indy so far?” and “Is it true that [your ex Alex Rodriquez] has an oil painting of himself depicted as a centaur, half man, half horse, in his home?” (She has no idea, but she is pretty sure A-Rod has a picture of her on a horse somewhere.) We didn’t expect people to throw grenades at her, but c’mon — this is Madonna . Don’t waste the lady’s time with your softballs! If you’ve got a spare 22 minutes, watch the entire press conference below.

For those who could use a little more female rapping in their lives this weekend, Iggy Azalea has provided a nice live set to give you just that. The “Roman In Moscow” revamper popped up at San Francisco’s Ritch 330 to deliver a rousing, crowd-pleasing show that included “My World” and “Hello” and saw a lot of flying-blonde-ponytail action. Oh, and who doesn’t love the homage to Tupac on her tank top? Watch it below

Christina Aguilera already made our list of the top 10 Etta James covers to honor her memory, but we must say, the body-confident diva has outdone herself by performing at the soulful legend’s funeral. One week after her passing, today mourners gathered to remember the late great, and of course, the most fitting tribute of all for the four-time Grammy-winning icon is a musical one — thus performances from Christina Aguilera and Stevie Wonder were amongst the remembrances. Catch Xtina’s heartfelt performance below.

If Nicki Minaj’s head-scratching, eyebrow-raising “Stupid Hoe” antics are getting a little tiring lately, Azealia Banks is happy to be your go-to female rapper of the moment. The rising MC was personally invited by world-famous designer Karl Lagerfeld to perform at an exclusive launch party held at his house during Paris Fashion Week. Catch the Harlem-based rapper spitting rhymes about her area code in her “212″ performance below. In true posh fashion, Banks performed after all the guests were presented with iPads bearing the silouette of Karl Lagerfeld.

Each successive performance Lana Del Rey has given after her widely-discussed one for Saturday Night Live has been pretty decent, and her latest, for BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge, is no exception. Below you’ll find the New York songstress knocking out a stripped-down “Video Games” with her band. Who knows, naysayers — you may just have to chalk up the SNL drama to the Complex cover girl ’s nerves, not lack of talent.

Lana Del Rey recently sat down with BBC 6 Music personality Huey Morgan for an interview, and she also brought along her band for performances of both “Video Games” and “Born To Die” . Yes, performances . And — would you look at that — she sounded just fine. In fact, the stripped-down “Born To Die” was downright impressive (not to mention quite mellow).

Alright, alright — we won’t say American Idol judge Steven Tyler’s a cappella rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” during yesterday’s New England Patriots vs. Baltimore Ravens championship game was horrifying. We’ll just note that, based on the reactions coming out of some corners of the Internet , the Aerosmith frontman may have finally taken the heat off poor Lana Del Rey after her divisive SNL performance two weekends ago. Watch Tyler’s attempt to make the country proud below, and decide if he should be given a golden ticket or yanked off the field by a cane

Many of our favorite stars shared kind, loving, and inspired words for Etta James on Twitter upon learning of her passing from complications of leukemia on Friday. But of course, the most fitting tribute is a musical one — and that’s what Kelly Clarkson delivered at her Radio City Music Hall stop on her Stronger tour last night. Die-hard American Idol fans will remember that Season One’s big winner started off by auditioning with Etta James’ “At Last.” Now, to bring it full circle, she has performed “I’d Rather Go Blind” for her New York City, and trust us — you would much rather see it for yourself than go blind. Watch below.
