Nick Carter is no doubt still reeling from the news that his sister Leslie has died in an apparent drug overdose, but he hasn’t let that stop him from sharing his music with fans: “Performing is cathartic to me and I am dedicating the rest of my tour to my sister since she loved to watch me perform,” he said in a statement. Nick carried on with that sentiment Wednesday night at Irving Plaza in New York City, where he said: “I’ve never done this before, and I never thought I’d ever have to, but I’d like to dedicate this song to my sister,” before launching into “Falling Down” from his solo album I’m Taking Off . American Idol Winner Lee DeWyze has joined forces with the Gable Heart Beats Foundation. Together, they will continue the drive to raise awareness of Sudden Cardiac Arrest, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, and other forms of heart disease, in addition to promoting mandatory heart screenings for young people everywhere. Lee joins fellow American Idol contestant Andrew Garcia , who joined the Gable Heart Beats Community in November 2010. Both are part of a growing community of athletes, musicians, comedians, and celebrities that now work with the Gable Heart Beats Foundation around the world

The country singer has seen so much success since she was crowned champ in Season 4, we have a hard time remembering she was once forced to suffer through Broadway musical night and participate in those terrible Ford music videos . Madonna mentioned her intention to do a tour in support of upcoming album MDNA during her sitdown with Graham Norton last month, but so far nothing official has been said about such a venture — until now. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times , Live Nation president and chief exec Michael Rapino stated the following: “At this point we’re optimistic about 2012. Madonna’s going on the road, and those tickets will go on sale right after the Super Bowl.” This announcement comes during what is possibly one of the busiest weeks of The Material Girl’s lengthy career .
