:: Entertainment Weekly ’s Idol expert, Michael Slezak, ranks the 13 worst Idol performances ever. Do you guys understand that we had to through therapy to repair the psychological trauma we suffered from Paige Miles’ “Against All Odds” cover? Who’s paying for that, Slezak?

Orlando’s own, Paige Miles , dropped in to see Ellen Degeneres when the Idol judge taped a couple episodes of her talk show in the Disney city over the weekend. Paige sang a killer version of Stevie Wonder’s “Living For the City” and talked to Ellen about Ryan Seacrest’s “goodbye pats”. Check it out after the jump. Video after the JUMP…

Paige Miles had her moment on “Late Show With David Letterman” last night, and she reminded anyone who'd forgotten why Simon Cowell once said of her, “Out of all of the girls, you have the best voice.” Miles rocked Stevie Wonder's “Living for the City,” and she clearly made a fan of “Letterman” bandleader Paul Shaffer, who said he couldn't imagine why she'd been voted off of “American Idol.” “We had a great time rehearsing with her today,” Shaffer told Letterman. “She's terrific.” Miles also engaged in the requisite pre-song chitchat with Letterman, who got in his typical “Idol” slams. “You'd always wanted to be on 'American Idol'? How did that begin?” he asked.

When eliminated American Idol contestant, Paige Miles appeared on the Late Show With David Letterman tonight,  Dave asked her the same questions he posed to Lacey Brown when she appeared last week. Dear Dave: I dig you, but please come up with some new material. You’re a clever guy–just do it. Okthnxgbye.

In the second of Idol Tracker's weekly series, Top 11 contestant Paige Miles reflects on her time in “La-La Land,” and offers her thoughts on the “American Idol” judges (Randy Jackson wears cool shoes! Simon Cowell is shorter than you think!), Ryan Seacrest's Twitter addiction and the Hollywood landmark she never got to visit (Staples Center — go Lakers!). American Idol 9 Top 11 iTunes Reviews

by Alex on March 27, 2010

A lot has been written in the Idol press this week about whether or not Season 9 is the worst Season in Idol history. So far, I think it has been, but not because these kids can’t sing. No, the problem is that the contestants, for the most part, don’t know how to work the stage or perform on camera. There’s a world of difference between performing on stage with a band, and sitting in your bedroom singing to your laptop camera (I’m looking at you, Andrew Garcia .) This week’s iTunes performance recordings, as usual, contains hits, misses and surprises

The popular sentiment in “Idol”-land today? Poor Paige. Not only will the 24-year-old schoolteacher not be joining the “American Idol” tour this summer, when she got on the phone with reporters earlier today, she

Eliminated American Idol contestant, Paige Miles spent a lot of time discussing the difficulty of choosing a song when spoke with reporters today during the American Idol conference call.  Also, it turns out she had been experiencing vocal problems for 3 weeks prior to elimination–an unfortunate situation that influenced her song choices (and not in  good way).  Paige was really hurt that she wasn’t given the opportunity to sing for her life. Hearing her talk about it made me re-think my belief that eliminating her upfront was the kind thing to do. See also: Entertainment Weekly’s interview with Paige HERE .

Exit Interview: Paige Miles

by Steven on March 25, 2010

Filed under: Interviews Poor Paige Miles . Oh, her performance this week during Billboard #1s theme night was far and away one of the worst performances in the history of the show. But perhaps fans weren’t totally privy to just how bad her throat problems were. On today’s weekly ‘AI’ post-exit phone conference call, the Texas teacher could barely keep her voice above a whisper in some spots, so harsh was her now three-week battle with laryngitis.

If you're looking for a reason why Paige Miles got sent home last night instead of the arguably less talented (though admittedly more consistent) Tim Urban, you might have to look a little further than Urban's teen-magnet haircut, winning smile and cross-stage slide. Shirtless photos of Tim Urban in a swimsuit competition , held as part of a larger tryout by an agency called AMTC (Actors, Models & Talent for Christ), have seeped onto the Web and are spreading fast. They reveal that Urban is packing a serious six-pack and an impressive set of pecs under his sweet demeanor. (Urban also can be seen acting and singing in the talent competition, in which he finished in the top five in the “singer/songwriter” category.) But don't expect to see Urban pull a “Bikini Girl” and flaunt his beach-worthy bod on the “Idol” stage.
